WASP training worldwide

WASP adopted by Singapore Civil Defence Force

WASP’s own Matt Keogh has been in Singapore over the last few days training Singapore’s civil defence force, Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team in the correct deployment and use of the WASP monitoring system.

WASP has been adopted by the D.A.R.T team after a successful 18 month trial on numerous sites both in Singapore and abroad. The Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team is a highly specialised elite team of personnel trained to handle complex rescue and fire fighting incidents. The selection process for D.A.R.T team members is highly selective and stringent.  Only the very best candidates showing exceptional skill in urban search and rescue as well as prolonged fire fighting techniques make the grade, now WASP is contributing to that team.

Meanwhile Neal Pickersgill MBE of technical rescue training is supporting WASP in Japan, training personnel in the correct deployment and use of the WASP monitoring system. Neal’s visit will take him around the country training the Tokyo Fire Department, Saitama City Fire Bureau, Yokohama Fire Department and Yokosuka US Naval Fire and Rescue Department.
